The character in the one man show "Never Say Die" dives into some places that are hard to discuss for many people. He is confronted by the idea of how much is too much in pursuit of his own ambition. From his pursuit to be successful he finds himself creating space between him and his loved ones. This causes a conflict of morality when confronted with the opportunity to step outside his marriage which leads him down a winding road of questioning every decision he's made up to that point.
I never use the terms "depression", "suicide" and "anxiety" but the symptoms of the characters actions and thoughts circle in and out of these disorders and I believe the show may be useful as a facilitation tool in therapy related activities, events and sessions. I think that the show speaks to services that address the following;
- Persons with serious medical health conditions or disabilities such as cancer, depression, Couples attempting to reconcile emotional conflicts
- Individuals seeking personal growth
- People experiencing stress, anxiety, and other problematic behaviors.

The premise behind "Never Say Die" is to look at the actions (through poems) and the inner monologue of those actions (through monologues) of a character heading down a path that leads to a depressive state. I believe there is an ability to use this performance to assist in group sessions. The 45 minute performance can be broken down into units to accent or build out plans. I can also do this remotely or on site. For more information please fill out the form below.
