"Never Say Die" is a one man show that speaks to the trials of a man trying to use the talents he has to make a better life for himself and family. As the story progresses he sees that his efforts aren't enough and in conflict with his needs to fulfill the role of provider in his house.
In Milwaukee, WI, where I am based, we have one of the highest rates of incarceration for black men in the country and when they return home they are faced with these same decisions. I have developed a facilitated talk back session in the show that helps these young men break down their own thoughts and emotions and start to look at ways to process them differently.
