Never Say Die navigates the hidden thoughts and emotions of a man torn up by his own ambitions. Bobby Drake’s performance provides a raw & human glimpse into the mind of a creative professional who unwittingly falls into a deep depression in the pursuit of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

His insightful monologues and eloquent spoken word pieces, coupled with original music, prompt audiences to look deep within themselves as they are given a bird’s eye view into the happenings of a creative’s life.

This engaging production is followed up with a talk back session. The talk back session is the ideal opportunity to delve deep into the joys, pains, and trials that we encounter in the relentless pursuit of success.

About the Venue: Overlooking Lake Michigan, the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum was designed and built in the style of an Italian Renaissance villa by architect David Adler in 1923. The building was originally the residence of former A.O. Smith president, Lloyd Smith, and his family. The museum features fine and decorative arts dating from the 15th through the 18th centuries, wrought-iron masterpieces by Cyril Colnik, the Renaissance Garden, and changing exhibitions.
